The Working Women’s Movement Network (WWMN) was founded in 2024 by Rosie, who was ready to shake up the professional scene in Lincoln. After five years in a leadership role within the Property & Construction industry, a space that often felt like a boys’ club, she decided it was time for a change.

After dipping a toe into traditional networking events, it became obvious: the overly formal vibe just wasn’t cutting it. Rosie, a chronic over-sharer and serial fidgeter, found that the stiff structure left little room for real, organic connections or getting to know the actual person behind the job title.

Enter WWMN. This isn’t your typical networking group. It’s a community where professional women from all industries come together to build meaningful connections, share stories, and have the kind of conversations that really matter. Whether it’s motherhood, mental health, menopause, or managing your finances, no topic is off the table.

Facing a professional challenge? Smashed a personal goal? At WWMN, we celebrate the wins, tackle the struggles, and cheer each other on, because when women support women, big things happen!

Rosie Pennicott

"In all my years of networking, I’ve yet to find a space where I can ditch the small talk and really connect on a deeper level. That’s why I created WWMN—a community where we can be real about the highs, the lows, and everything in between, while building solid connections with other amazing professional women."

Getting Involved...

To be part of this awesome community it's absolutely free - yes you've heard it here first - it's free!

Our regular meet-ups are normally situated in Lincoln's Cognito bar, which also happens to be a female-owned business. (Not a coincidence) If you fancy a nibble or a tipple then you simply pay for what you consume with no cost to you in terms of attending the group. There are some exciting, larger-scale events taking place throughout the year which will be paid ticketed events although there is no obligation to attend. Have a look at our upcoming events and our regular meets and book your place.
